Course Goals

To support the Virginia Standards of Learning for teaching U.S. History by:

  • connecting the events of 20th Century U.S. history to past events;
  • analyzing what it means to be an American;
  • connecting economic, political, and social evolutions;
  • connecting the concepts of individualism and community; and
  • providing lesson plans, resources, and links for classroom teachers.
